Patagonia is a photographer's paradise!
If you love mountains, the outdoors, and travel, then chances are you already aspire to visit Patagonia. You probably subscribe to the Patagonia clothing catalogue just to enjoy the background images. I do. And if you love photography too, then I must implore you to add this year's photo tour to your bucket list.
The 2017 tour will mark my tenth week down there, and I’m just as excited this time as ever. There’s no way to describe the ethereal feeling of Chile's Torres del Paine National Park. I’ve compiled a short VIDEO and the 2011 group's SLIDESHOW as an attempt.

Let me first explain the unique custom design of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Most photo tours to this region are centered around lodges and classic overlooks. Nothing wrong with that. We do believe it’s important to relax, unwind, even spoil yourself while on a 10-day vacation. But it’s also important to let your lungs feel a steep grade in the trail, to get some dirt on your hands, and water in your shoes.
Enter, the Light Finds Patagonia Adventure Tour!
See you there,

Tell me all about it!
Your adventure begins and ends in Punta Arenas, Chile.
Arrive, via Santiago, in the historical port city of Punta Arenas (PUQ). Tour begins! After checking in to the hotel and touching base with loved ones, we set off to walk the town, shop at the markets, practice our spanish, and have a fine dinner. This one is on us!
Day 3 – After a leisurely breakfast, we wave goodbye to Puerto Natales and head to Torres Del Paine National Park. You get your first glimpse of the dramatic Paine Massif today (weather permitting). Traversing the park’s borders, we have the excitement of seeing the range from several vantage points. We end our day with dinner and loding at Hosteria Grey.
Day 4 - Awaken to sunrise painting golden light on the mountain range. After an early breakfast we take the catamaran across Lago Grey and arrive at Refugio Grey, inside the National Park. We spend the afternoon exploring Glacier Grey warming up our legs on an optional hike to a high vantage point.
Day 5 - Today is our first official day on the W trail! Our route takes us away from the 100sq-mile Glacier Grey to Refugio Paine at the base of Paine Grande which rests along the dreamy glacial-blue waters of Lago Pehoe.
Day 7 - Rise early today for the chance to shoot sunrise light reflecting off the grandest wall of granite in the world. Or just watch it from bed through your cabin’s skylight! Did I mention you are situated just above another beautiful lake, surrounded by rushing waterfalls, curious foxes, and soaring Patagonia condors?
You've completed the "W" Trail!
We'll stay the next two nights just outside the park in a gorgeous Patagonia Estancia (ranch). This gives us one more night to relax and soak in the beauty here. It's always a tour highlight.
Day 10 - Relax and reflect on your accomplishment, as you enjoy the day-to-day culture of life on an authentic Patagonian Estancia. Great food, wine, views of the Paine Massif (you just conquered), and real-life gauchos make today a special treat.
Day 11 - Leaving the Estancia, we travel back to Puerto Natales, stopping along the way for breathtaking sightings of wild guanacos set against an iconic Patagonia backdrop. We spend our final night back in Punta Arenas where we started. Tour ends.
